Community Partnerships

The TPS Program has several community partnerships with whom they collaborate with to provide support to pregnant and parenting students. Some of the community partnerships include:

Hennepin County Services: In order to make some of the Hennepin County Services more accessible to pregnant and parenting teens, the TPS program has city-wide social workers available.

Minnesota Visiting Nurses Association (MVNA): MVNA offers visits to pregnant teens and teens with new babies.

NorthPoint Health & Wellness CenterNorthPoint’s commitment to providing comprehensive, high-quality health care does not only apply at its Penn Avenue location but also to providing services through it’s the school-based clinic located at North High school. The goals of the North High School clinic are to provide care to students who otherwise do not receive health care, to help reduce absences related to illness/medical appointments and to promote healthy behaviors.
Teenwise Minnesota: The TPS Program actively participates in Teenwise Minnesota. Teenwise Minnesota is the statewide leader in promoting adolescent sexual health, preventing adolescent pregnancy and gaining support for adolescent parents. They achieve this by developing, strengthening and advancing science-based policies and programs. While Teenwise Minnesota does not provide services directly to teens, they provide resources they think may be of interest to teens.
